As far as I know, assigning UIDs over 65534 is no more a problem, so I
suppose that the bug you reported should now be closed.

Do you have any objection to this?

Original bug report:

newusers binary fails to add users correct - assigns them uids> 65535.
This is probably caused by nobody user, which exists on debian systems and has 65534 uid.
