This suggestion is indeed something that was mentioned during d-i
development and I intended to implement it, sometime after sarge
release.

Holger suggestion is right, of course, this is not as secure as it
seems...but this may be a feature that some people might need and this
does not really harm more than preseeding plain text passwords..:)

Tomasz, again, this is Debian specific...
