Package: login
Version: 1:4.0.3-30.4
Severity: normal

If I try to login with username "[D" my TTY changes to ALLCAPs
until I login and run reset.

I notice this on my downstairs workstation which I mostly run
through SSH on my laptop. Quite reguarly the characters "[D"
have appeared on the screen when I come back. When I hit enter,
my TTY goes ALLCAPS.

It's bizarre.

All caps logins turns terminals to all caps. This is a feature and not
a bug. All you have to do when inadvertently enter this situation is
exceed the maximum number of tries and the terminal will be switched
again to normal behaviour.
