[Pkg-shadow-devel] Some variables are missing from the getdef variable

Tomasz, you are also affected by this.

I've compiled shadow with the debugging information in order to check
which login.defs variables were used.

MAIL_FILE is used by userdel and usermod

MD5_CRYPT_ENAB is used by crypt_make_salt, and thus by chpasswd, gpasswd
and newusers

This method was quite effective to get the list of variables used by each
utility. This information could be used to indicate in each man page which
variables are used (IIRC, there is a debian bug about that).

Tomasz, I only verified the debian utilities, you should probably do the
same to be sure on your source (some utility are currently built without
USE_PAM in Debian). I verified that you were affected by at least the two
variables mentioned above.
(Maybe also these variables were not intended to be used there.)
