Another suggestion, but this is more a suggestion than a real rule=C2=A0:

when I commit a translation update, I use to tag the bug as pending by
*answering* to the bug reporter, leave the bug number CC'ed, put
control@bugs.debian.org in Bcc, put the bug control command at the
top:

-----------------------------
tags xxxxxx pending
thanks

> Translator mail quoted

Commited.
-----------------------------

This is a convenient way to just say to the translator that his/her
translation has not been left in the wild....:-)

Of course, when there are numerous translation updates like here, this
is way more work..:-)

PS=C2=A0: I also use to say some funny joke from time to time such as
saying "Gecommited" to the german translator, "=CE=BA=CE=BF=CE=BC=CE=BC=CE=
=B9=CF=84=CE=B5=CE=B4" to the greek
translator", "Kommitosz" to the polish one and so one....Just a nice
way to be friendly with them actually.

So, Christine, don't feel forced (hmmm, I'm pretty sure this is *not*
the right word, and maybe completely inappropriate) to do so=C2=A0: this =
is
in no way mandatory....And, of course, thank you so much for your help
dealing with these bug reports.
