Does anybody has a shell access on the cvs and/or svn hosting box?

It may help a lot if you want to keep the history.

A little warning:
With the CVS, there were some problem with keyword substitutions.
With cvs2svn, I don't know if these properties are kept (it should be OK)
This can be checked by:
svn propget svn:keywords <file>
They can be removed by:
svn propdel svn:keywords <file>


Also, IIRC, for new files, there should not be any problem since
no property is set by default.
