  Hi,

In the manpage of "userdel", I can read this:
-r Files in the user's home directory will be removed along with the home
directory itself and the user's mail spool. Files located in other file
systems will have to be searched for and deleted manually.

I think "userdel -r" could also remove the crontabs of the user at
/var/spool/cron/crontabs/$USER

  Thanks,
    Pedro

The requested feature ("userdel could remove user crontab files") is
too dependent on the local system configuration. Utilities from the
shadow source package are likely to be used in many systems.

In short, userdel is a too low level utility for such a high level
feature.

Given that Debian specific utility named "deluser" already implements
the requested feature through the "--remove-all-files" switch, I
consider there is no real need to ask such new feature to our upstream.

As a consequence, I'll close this bug.
