Some day, we should do something for these warnings. They are really
annoying and could easily mask moreuseful output from Lintian or Linda.

That one is not really a big concern for me. The passwd.config stuff
will die as soon as we can. The D-I team confirmed yesterday that this
code is needed as long as D-I Etch beta 1 is still officially
supported for installing testing.

So, we have two choices:

-Remove the code now but keep the new shadow out of testing until D-I
 etch beta 2 is released

-Remove the code in a further release, after D-I etch beta2 release
 (around end of January)

The latter has my preference, unless someone is very convincing....

However, I don't want to add a versioned dependency which would later
need to be removed when the code isn't needed anymore. On the other
hand, when we will remove this code, we'll be able to remove the
dependency on debconf..:-)
