I was (and the bug submitter) more thinking about possible use for the
set-uid or set-gid bits, indeed. Sorry for thge mis-explanation.
I agree that there does not seem to be uses for propagating the sticky
bit.....but, well, it also does not hurt to propagate it in case some
admin fins a weird use for it.
The main concern indeed is more the setgid bit which definitely may
have some uses (look in the #296729 bug log).
The proposed patch keeps these bits when they are set on files or
directories in the skeleton.
