I don't think it's possible.
The aclocal.m4, configure and Makefile.in files are modified because we
run configure. And we run configure because we use different flags than
upstream.

Maybe the diff could be smaller if automake 1.9 was used

In fact, we could also copy the files somewhere befor ethe build, and
restore them in the clean rule. But I don't think we should do that.


I'm also surprised there is no diff in the man directory (the generated
manpages should be overwritten with the debian patches). This is probably
a bug in debian/rules.
