Yeah. We will disable all debconf stuff in lenny. We could probably
have it disabled for etch but I finally decided that we were too close
from the release when it became obvious that the need for it is really
small now.

I still suppose that some people use "dpkg-reconfigure passwd" in
their chroots to activate/deactivate shadow, setup root's password and
eventually create the first user. IMHO, this can perfectly be made
manual as such people are pretty likely to be able to do it manually
themselves.....so removing that debconf stuff will help us keeping the
package simpler (and the diff much smaller).... As a side effect, it
would remove the need for a big part of the Ubuntu patch.
