Hi guys,
I've just applied a patch to shadow in Ubuntu to mark the passwd package
'Multi-Arch: foreign'; this indicates, per
<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MultiarchSpec>, that passwd will satisfy the
dependencies of packages of other architectures when it's installed.
Since passwd is rather low in the stack, and it's perfectly safe to tag
packages as Multi-Arch: foreign in advance of a package manager that's
capable of understanding this (which should be along soon in any case), I
request that this be set on the package in Debian as well.
Thanks,
