[Pkg-shadow-devel] SU_WHEEL_ONLY: Can't su - despite gid 0

Hi! I'm getting unexpected results from the SU_WHEEL_ONLY login.defs
option on two different systems with these specs:

 * Linux/x86 kernel version 3.2.45 (Slackware 14)
 * shadow suite version 4.1.4.3 (not PAM-enabled)

If the option is enabled, users cannot "su root" even though they are
listed in group id 0 (called the 'root' group here).

Didn't see this mentioned in the *.NEWS files for newer versions, so I
thought I'd report it here.
