[Pkg-shadow-devel] Newuidmap works with usernames instead of uids

Heh, even Slackware uses Debian version if I am not mistaken :)

Anyway: would you recommend getting the patch into upstream first? How
long does it usually take to be synced with Debian version?

What about change preview? Could you please give it a quick eye?
