Package: login
Version: 1:4.2-3.1
Severity: minor
File: /etc/login.defs
Dear Maintainer,
login.defs(5) claims that the default value of SUB_UID_COUNT and
SUB_GID_COUNT are 10000, but they actually are 65536.
In conjunction with the fact that system users are given sub_uids even
when they don't request them (see #784596), this means that by the time
you add sub_uids for normal users, they will have meaningless lower
digits instead of being a multiple of a nice power of 10.
