I went ahead and tagged 4.3.0 upstream.

The debian shadow tree is out of date wrt the packaging.  I don't have perms
to it anyway (I assume) so I don't know whether we try to fix it, or ignore
it for now.

We need a new French cheese for the new release name - though I'm not sure
where that should be marked.

I then did a make dist and did the debian merge - with no testing whatsoever!
and pushed to mentors.  The result is at

I'll get around to testing it soon.
