I'd like to stress this a bit. I think it's unlikely that
gnome-doc-utils will survive the python2 removal, so it's important to
get this issue resolved.

(The quoted blockers still seems to be an issue over 2 years later
though so you either want to push for those to get fixed or find
another option than gettext...)
