Debian Testing
Hi,
A Debian update for Debian Testing has broken the "useradd" utility (in
/sbin/useradd, I don't know which package it belongs to). The problem is
that the /etc/skel folder is ignored no matter what settings are used,
so the new user only gets the vanilla setup, & not the specially
prepared one.
A previous version of this tool (3rd march, '22) worked fine, & if I
replace the new file with the old one on Debian testing, it also works
fine. I am using Calamares to install an adapted version of Debian
Testing, & Calamares uses "useradd" to create user accounts during the
installation (one reason is that options can be given to the tool, which
the "adduser" tool doesn't support). So I need "useradd" to work properly.
Thanks for fixing this as soon as possible.
