Package: passwd
Version: 1:4.20.2-1
Severity: normal

Control: close -1 1:4.20.3-1

Hi,

since upstream commit 52f69b786e7b7c34ca340ba4c672a8d616dbf4d5 or upstream pull
request https://github.com/shadow-maint/shadow/pull/1482, the format of
/etc/gshadow changed. The minimum password age field (the fourth) used to have
the value zero but is now empty. The meaning remains the same but for
bit-by-bit identical output, the shadowconfig has to be adjusted to produce the
same output as produced by the new version of pwconv.

The issue is fixed in this MR (thus tagging this bug with 'patch'):

https://salsa.debian.org/debian/shadow/-/merge_requests/31

Above MR got merged and uploaded in version 1:4.20.3-1 of src:shadow. This bug
is merely a tracking bug for the documentation in the mmdebstrap autopkgtest:

https://salsa.debian.org/debian/mmdebstrap/-/blob/master/debian/tests/control?ref_type=heads#L44

This helps maintaining a manually curated list of packages which trigger the
(rather long) mmdebstrap autopkgtest because they broke it in the past. It is
thus a reminder that the package passwd should remain part of the list.

Lets see if the BTS server control pseudo-header allows closing this bug
immediately after filing it. :)

Thanks!

cheers, josch
