I've added a section on backporting to:

It's fairly straightforward.  We'll need a backport at Stanford sooner or
later, but you're probably going to want to get to it before I will.

The OpenSSL thing is probably absorbing everyone's attention right now, so
NEW is likely to be fairly slow.
