Then my test succeeded only because the SP stack was built before the
arrival of the new glibc, I guess.

We're running several 2.1 SPs already from our private backports.
Actually, finding a 2.0 installation would be more of a problem here.
This may hurt if somebody ever submits a bug about the Lenny package.
