Found it.  Some of the libraries were linked with OpenSSL 0.9.8 and some
of them were linked with OpenSSL 1.0.0.  This doesn't work.  I assume the
size of some data structure changed, which causes the method prototypes to
no longer match.
I'm going to upload new versions of xml-security-c and xmltooling that
force building against OpenSSL 1.0 or later.  OpenSAML2 looks like it's
okay; it doesn't link directly with OpenSSL.
