Not dropping, but the configuration is not fully compatible.

An official release will be sometime this summer, but the timing depends
on completing substantial new work on the Windows installer, and we're not
going to ship until that work is done, barring a security problem that
necessitiates shipping. Apache 2.4 support will not be a motivating factor.
The 2.4 module support is minimally tested at this stage and is best
described as experimental, but it should build and minimally works. It
probably could be backported if somebody wanted to.
