Aw well. I'll try to keep this simple (purely Debian, omitting personal
repository/workflow), should this work?

  gbp clone https://salsa.debian.org/debian/strongswan.git
  cd strongswan
  gbp buildpackage

Fails with:

  gbp:error: Pristine-tar couldn't checkout "strongswan_5.7.0.orig.tar.bz2": xdelta3: target window checksum mismatch: XD3_INVALID_INPUT
xdelta3: normally this indicates that the source file is incorrect

pristine-tar: Failed to reproduce original tarball. Please file a bug report.
  pristine-tar: failed to generate tarball

If "yes", then I'll pursue building on buster, followed by diving into
the gbp/pristine-tar tool differences.

If "no", then I'll try harder to grok what tooling is used to build the
package.

Thanks.
