There is a regression between Debian's version 5.9.8 and upstream
5.9.14, which is not fixed for Debian's version 6.0.0 yet, as it seems.

for the details. It affects IP address assignment via DHCP.

The fix is supposed to be included in upstream's coming 6.0.1 version,
AFAIU. You might want to consider to include it for 6.0.0.
