Can you please attach the output of
udevadm info --query all --name=/dev/mapper/hal9000-home
inside the emergency shell you get?

I am looking for a line containing “E: TAGS=:systemd:”

Also, can you please attach dpkg -l lvm2? Which kernel package are you
using? Are you using an initrd?
