I don’t think this is a bug in systemd. You have not shown clearly where
the existing sysvinit compatibility is actually broken. I acknowledge
that the system boot works a bit differently now with regards to udev
and lvm, both of which are moving towards an event-based system. The
fact that things are different does not mean that backwards
compatibility is missing, though.

Let us please continue the discussion in #719738 instead.
