Well, as predicted by me earlier, nothing (visible) happened after you
did not provide a patch. You have the following options:

1) Send a follow-up “ping” message to that thread, hoping that someone
   who might have missed it or thought somebody else will reply then
   takes a look at the thread.

2) Spend some time on producing a patch and posting that, greatly
   increasing the chances of getting it fixed. I’d recommend this
   option.

3) Submit a bug report at the bugzilla in the hope that someone will
   eventually look at the problem. Note that this may take many weeks.
