Of course we are also aware that the version in Debian is not the latest
and greatest :).

However, it seemed to us that 204 is a good version for a release that
we want to stabilize for some time, precisely because it was the last
release before the big cgroup changes.

Therefore, unless Tollef or Michael disagree strongly with me, I’d like
to not immediately jump on 208, but rather try to fix the number of bugs
that are currently reported against 204.

Since you asked whether you can help: yes, helping by cleaning up our
bugtracker and helping diagnose/fix the issues that people report would
go a long way. You are welcome to ask in #debian-systemd about specific
bugs that need attention in case you don’t want to look at them all.
