Package: systemd
Version: 204-5
Severity: important
Tags: upstream
Problem description:
After installing the systemd package some sysrq keys don't work any more.
Expected behaviour:
The systemd package must not interact with the sysrq key setting
Analysis:
The systemd package contains the file /usr/lib/sysctl.d/50-default.conf. In
this file there is the following entry:
# System Request functionality of the kernel (SYNC)
kernel.sysrq = 16
which changes the allowable sysrq key. This entry is present also in the
upstream package.
Suggested solution:
Comment the entry "kernel.sysrq = 16" in the file
/usr/lib/sysctl.d/50-default.conf.
Further information:
This bug is signalled also for suse [1] and mageia [2]. This entry was added
by the following commit [3] in the systemd git repository.
