Package: systemd
Version: 208-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I tried to hibernate but got same annoying authorization requester
*after* KDE locked its desktop as described in bug #747939.

This time not due to a second KDE session but due to stale sessions:

ms at mango:~> loginctl
   SESSION        UID USER             SEAT
         2       2012 ms               seat0
        84          0 root             seat0
        87          0 root             seat0

3 sessions listed.

Only session 2 is still active.

ms at mango:~> loginctl show-session 84
Id=84
Timestamp=Do 2014-07-31 11:43:23 CEST
TimestampMonotonic=32260639796
VTNr=1
TTY=/dev/tty1
Remote=no
Service=login
Scope=session-84.scope
Leader=6864
Audit=84
Type=tty
Class=user
Active=no
State=closing
IdleHint=yes
IdleSinceHint=1406800104196886
IdleSinceHintMonotonic=0
Name=root

ms at mango:~> loginctl show-session 87
Id=87
Timestamp=Do 2014-07-31 11:45:48 CEST
TimestampMonotonic=32405528582
VTNr=1
TTY=/dev/tty1
Remote=no
Service=login
Scope=session-87.scope

Type=tty
Class=user
Active=no
State=closing
IdleHint=yes
IdleSinceHint=1406800104196886

tty is definately logged out. So I do not only have one, but two stale
sessions on TTY1 while when switching to it with Ctrl-Alt-F1 I get a nice
login prompt displayed, so definately logged out. In any case two sessions
on the same TTY do not make any sense.

who totally agrees with that there is no body logged in on TTY1 anymore:

ms at mango:~> who
ms       :0           2014-07-30 10:43

I will be using the same work-around as on my laptop and just allow
hibernation with mutiple sessions within policykit.

This is definately not yet end-user ready.

systemd is still at 208-1 as I won't upgrade it at the cost of removing
sysvinit-core. I do not yet trust systemd and systemd debian integration
enough to rely on it as only option on my production systems.

Ciao,
Martin
