My bad, I hit reply instead of reply all.

It was a side effect.
I quitted xfce and logged in into a console as root, then after
several minutes, this msg took place (+ enter ctrl-d to continue
or root password).

1st login, after quitting xfce, was normal, others were into
emergency shell.

Don't remember but much longer than that - In fact, I must have
acknowledge propositions from either synaptic or dselect.

Hmm, -ba was refused (Failed to parse boot descriptor 'a') but -ab
was accepted (sounds normal from the man point of view) - journal.txt
is attached.

I also lost the xfce window displaying all applications thumbnails
when ALT-TAB; I suppose it is a sequel.
