Bug#770886: systemd-sysv: Silence on shutdown; sytem hangs without any indication why

Gentlemen,

I too have seen this bug more or less consistently on new Jessie
systems. It seems to occur at random intervals and does not depend on
whether or not I shut down the system from a graphical interface or via
the command line. As far as I am able to tell, there is not log
information available following a manual power off and restart. It does
appear to occur more frequently if I am doing a remote (vnc) shutdown or
reboot, but even that works more often than not. If you have any
information regarding how I could send more useful input, please let me
know.
