Actually, I would like to avoid uploading that to unstable (atm) if it's
not going to be accepted for jessie.
The release team prefers if fixes for jessie go in via unstable and not
via t-p-u. So should there turn up issues with the current package in
testing and 1.4.2-1 is not accepted, we'll have a harder time getting
fixes into jessie.

It's perfectly fine to ask the release team for pre-approval before
uploading, fwiw.

An alternative, while jessie is frozen, could be to upload 1.4.2-1 to
experimental.
