[Pkg-systemd-maintainers] Looking into a backport of systemd 204 to Wheezy

Hi,

some time ago a backport of a current systemd version was discussed in
#debian-admin. It is needed to move codesearch.debian.net to Debian
infrastructure.

I looked a bit into it and a backport without any modifications works
fine for a small VM that runs only a Tor relay. However I have two
questions, one for the backports team and one for the systemd
maintainers:

For the backports team: When dpkg was backported to Squeeze all binaries
except dpkg-dev and libdpkg-perl were dropped. As the systemd source
package also builds fairly important binary packages (udev), I wonder if
the same should done for a potential systemd backport. (Though I would
prefer minimal-changes backports and include the udev binary.)

And for the systemd maintainers: are you interested in maintaining a
backport to Wheezy? If not, do you mind me and/or other interested
persons doing so?

Regards,
Ansgar
