The slim package ships a native .service file (which overrides the
LSB/SysV init script) but doesn't enable it (i.e. I don't see a
WantedBy: multi-user.target or graphical.target in the above output).
Thus systemd is behaving as expected, it's the slim package which is
buggy. It should enable the .service file upon installation.
The preferred way to do that is using dh-systemd.

Re-assigning to the right package.
