Hi Nikolaus,

Your workaround works fine for me, thank you very much :D

Now I can see messages on reboot and shutdown. I didn't know this chvt
command, but when I tried to manually switch tty on shutdown by pressing
Ctrl+Alt+F1 it didn't work.
