This still affects jessie and is a significant annoyance because of all
the clutter in the process table, especially for shell servers.

Here this also affects users like "polipo" and "tahoe"...

A workaround I was told about was to use KillUserProcesses=
in logind.conf(5) - but then that will break screen and similar tools.
