Thats not true. systemd-fsck is just a simple wrapper launching
util-linux fsck (which itself is also just a not-equally-but-almost-as
simple wrapper that figures out which filesystem-specific fsck to run).

Lets keep this one for ourselves. Reassigning back.

We'll need to clear out some confusion in the bug report though...
