Last boot trial did not succeed after ~ 5hrs, so I opted to a quick
reinstall, this time without systemd but with sysv 2.88dsf-41+deb7u1.
Boot times are normal both ways, i.e. the ordering of console in
grub's kernel command line does not change boot speeds with sysvinit.
Does this help a bit?
Cheers
carsten
