Might be a duplicate of [1]
Can you run
update-rc.d samba remove
systemctl stop samba.service
and try again.
If that doesn't help, follow the debugging hints at [2].
A first step would be, to enable persistent logging, and increase the
verbosity via systemd.log_level=debug and/or enabling the
debug-shell.service .
