That's my fault, sorry. I've been pretty swamped in a number of ways
recently and took longer than I should have done to realise what was
going on; but I'm now taking steps to deal with it (as per my blog).
I'll make sure that some variant of that patch gets into jessie, since
it seems like a reasonable change regardless of what else is decided
here.
