I just gave that a try and it seems not to be what I want... as it
forwards *everything* on the journal to the serial console (thereby
making it unusable for normal working) - I wanted to have just the
additional boot messages forwarded.

I'll have a look at that later, but for now I've opened an RFE at
upstream.
