Well, this should be dealt with by ifupdown then, though. E.g it could
log a warning message.

Right, I can close the bug report or re-assign it to ifupdown. Whatever
you prefer.

Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the
universe are pointed away from Earth?
