Here's systemd-analyze dump right after a crash from tonight.

It shows that the USR1 that kills journald is the one that is
scheduled to be sent by systemd-journal-flush.service. Running

/bin/systemctl kill --kill-who=main --signal=SIGUSR1 systemd-journald.service

manually, however, does *not* reliably kill journald.
