Version: 215-12
Severity: important
Hello!
systemd currently fails to build systems running the sh4 port of Debian since it
doesn't know the architecture. Please add support for the sh4 architecture or
better the Hitachi SH port of the Linux kernel.
The error message while booting indicates the lack of architecture support:
[ 2.724000] systemd[1]: systemd 215 running in system mode. (+PAM +AUDIT +SELINUX +IMA +SYSVINIT +LIBCRYPTSETUP +GCRYPT +ACL +XZ -SECCOMP -APPARMOR)
[ 2.740000] systemd[1]: Code should not be reached 'Couldn't identify architecture. You need to patch systemd.' at ../src/shared/architecture.c:137, function uname_architecture(). Aborting.
[ 2.760000] systemd[1]: Caught <ABRT>, core dump failed.
[ 2.764000] systemd[1]: Freezing execution.
Will also forward this upstream, but I hope this can also be backported to systemd-215
so we don't have to wait until after the freeze that systemd works on the sh4 port
of Debian.
Thanks,
Adrian
