upstream has this on the TODO list [1]

"- Add a verbose mode to "systemctl start" and friends that explains
what is being done or not done"

In the end, that feature should be developed upstream, and not
implemented as a downstream patch, so while I wouldn't mind keeping the
bug report open, I don't see much value in keeping it open either.
