Well, if that is the case, wouldn't it be better if vagrant would set
$SYSTEMD_PAGER="" (or cat), so systemctl, invoke-rc.d, service and
/etc/init.d/foo would *all* work.

It seems odd to special-case /etc/init.d/foo imho.
