This is a patch for systemd, not the kernel. I prepared a source
package for easier testing. Do the following:
apt-get install dpkg-dev devscripts
apt-get build-dep systemd
dget https://people.debian.org/~fsateler/systemd_231-2.dsc
cd systemd-231
dpkg-buildpackage
That should leave you with several .debs (after a long time). Install
libsystemd0 and systemd from those debs.
