You're referring to:

| If it doesn't work, or tries to use the wrong clean target, you're
| encouraged to skip using dh_auto_clean at all, and just run make

? If so, interesting, I didn't understand it that way. :)

Ah sure, that would work too. :)

Choose whatever you prefer, I just noticed the behaviour while
working with the i-s-h package trying to fix #812337. :)
